ATLANTA—Winter Construction will begin mobilizing this month to build a new seven-story boutique hotel in Savannah, GA. The hotel is being developed by RBHD and owned by Rockbridge, and will span an entire city block in the historic River St. district.
The demolition of an existing building on the property will make way for the 173-room, 162,000-sq.-ft. hotel. The hotel’s layout includes two levels of parking, five levels of guestrooms, a fitness area, meeting space, a pool, a lobby bar, a restaurant on River St., and a rooftop event space and bar. The architect is Gunn Meyerhoff Shay and the interior designers are FODA and Parts & Labor.
The Savannah Historic District Board of Review approved the hotel development.
According to Winter’s Ken Smith, completion of the hotel is planned for October 2017.
