These storage solutions are functional yet stylish and practical yet trendy. Here’s a look at what’s new and innovative in casegoods from Stone Forest and Koket:
Elemental Storage Wall Etagere by Stone Forest:
A uniquely elegant, modular storage solution, the Elemental Storage Wall Etagere is a customizable combination of open shelving and closed storage in a range of high-quality materials to suit different lifestyles, needs and aesthetics. Extra shelving with optional metal trays yields additional display space, while more drawers provide added storage. Materials can also be custom-tailored to suit different tastes. Legs with matching knurled fittings are available in either aged brass, matte black or polished nickel, while shelves are offered in wood, dark Antique Gray Limestone or bright Honed Carrara Marble.
“For 30 years, Stone Forest has been known for its work with natural materials in the garden, kitchen and bath spaces. Our new Elemental Storage Etagere is an exciting, first foray for us into the casegoods category. This piece was actually inspired by our bath collection of the same name—Elemental—which is a collection based on the concept of design flexibility and personalization. With this etagere, you can choose from various configurations, materials and finishes, and essentially play a role in the design process to really make it your own,” said Michael Zimber, founder/president, Stone Forest.
Fleur Nightstand by Koket:
With its oval body, architectural details, sheen lacquered finish and whimsical stylized floral marquetry, the Fleur Nightstand’s charm is sure to add glamour to the bedroom. Each flower is cut by hand from thin sheets of wood veneer. The delicate pieces are then carefully fit like a puzzle into the negative opening created using the same laborious traditional marquetry techniques.
“We wanted to do a beautiful, delicate and feminine piece—it has classic curves in the front. As one of the main inspirations of Koket is flora, we introduced the flowers in different wood veneers made with hand craft technic. The name ‘fleur’ is French so we decided to give the piece this name because of the flowers details—flowers are delicate as the name and it’s what we wanted to transmit,” said Janet Morais, CEO, Koket.
Divine Armoire by Koket:
Every room could use a stunning statement piece. What better than an armoire? Armoires are something Koket is known for—whether they are adorned with beautiful feathers or with luxurious brass, each is unique and sure to get conversations started.
“This utterly desirable double-door pagoda top armoire is covered in delicate, individually placed natural feathers. An exquisite metal ribbon opens the doors to a lavish interior graced with four drawers and two adjustable shelves. The top and base feature a hand-applied metal leaf for added glamour,” Morais said.
