Park Central Hotel San Francisco is the Bay City’s newest hotel, taking over the former Westin Market Street at Union Square and SoMa. LaSalle Hotel Properties, which purchased the AAA Four Diamond hotel, plans for a seamless transition of the former Starwood property to an independent, distinctive, guest-centric hotel, according to the owner.
The property is one of the newest additions to the Highgate Hotels collection.
The design and hospitality concept of the new Park Central Hotel San Francisco will be modeled after its sister property, the historic Park Central Hotel New York City, which recently completed renovations by the same owner.
The 36-story San Francisco property offers 681 guestrooms complemented by modern decor. Minor physical renovations will be implemented as part of the sale, but the primary changes will focus on the Park Central Hotel’s San Francisco-centric approach to hospitality, encompassing an array of programs and affiliations with nearby organizations and local partners, the owner said.
“We are excited to unveil the Park Central Hotel San Francisco as the newest and one of the most significant independent properties to arrive in the city in years,” said General Manager Ken Pilgrim. “The opportunities are endless in terms of new partnerships, enhancements and renovations we will initiate—all of which will center on keeping the guest at the forefront. We are confident that travelers to our great city will be delighted with all that the Park Central Hotel has to offer, with services and amenities that highlight our local culture and environment, affording a truly authentic experience.”
