Hotels are no longer just a place to rest your head. They have become gathering places to enjoy conversation and perhaps a drink or two. Here are a few places that guests can do just that.
Studio Sofa in Acid Jungle
Truly soft and luxurious, the contemporary Studio sofa from Timothy Oulton invites refined relaxation. Fully-loaded feather pillows are wrapped around a gently supportive core, hugging the body for a joyfully sumptuous experience.
One of the designs available for Studio is Acid Jungle velvet, a mix of vivid color on an intense dark backdrop. The perfect sofa for the urban jungle, lush greens combine with vibrant florals to create an exotic scene, ideal for relaxing with friends and letting your imagination run wild.
“Acid Jungle is our second graphical printed velvet, after the success of our Faded & Degraded printed velvet collection, which we launched on our Shabby sofa a few seasons ago,” said Timothy Oulton. “This time, with Acid Jungle, we wanted to create a contrast between the rich, heavy graphical print and an ultra slim, off-the-floor frame that still provided maximum support and comfort. The result was the Studio Sofa in Acid Jungle.”
The minds behind the New York City-based multidisciplinary design firm Dutch East Design paired with Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet & Leather to create the Float Collection. The collaborative collection consists of soft, rounded chairs and barstools supported on understated legs designed to express the negative space between the furniture and the ground.
Each of the elevated styles can be upholstered in Jamie Stern leather or the customer’s own material for an aesthetic that pairs with both modern and contemporary design schemes. The welded steel frames come in muted tones of painted steel available in black, white and brass.
“The Float Collection was designed to create something both expressive and robust for hospitality, residential and commercial settings,” said Dieter Cartwright, partner, Dutch East Design.
Duo from Pianca
Duo, part of the Pianca Day Collection, is designed to offer an impeccable solution to the ever-changing demands of daily life. Meticulously designed down to the last technical and aesthetic detail, the backrest’s rotating mechanism can be operated to recline the backrest and support the cushions, providing two different seat depths. The armrests are wide and beautifully comfortable, designed to continue the line of the backrest in the reclined position. The skid base, sitting under the armrests, can be produced with a chrome or metallic finish.
“Duo offers a proud appeal, sophisticated style, cutting-edge design,” according to the design team.
