An Island Vibe in Music City

What do you get when you combine the relaxed playfulness of the Margaritaville brand with the creative vibe of Music City? Margaritaville Hotel Nashville, one of the first urban properties for the brand, which is now open.

Located in the heart of Nashville, TN, the 166-room hotel features a JWB Grill, Fins Bar, a rooftop pool and fitness center, among other amenities, all mixing the island spirit of Margaritaville with Nashville’s artistic soul.

“The inspiration behind the design is to create a retreat where guests can revel in the heart of Nashville and indulge in the spirit of Margaritaville,” said Darby Campbell, president of Safe Harbor Development. “The hotel will be more than just a place to stay while enjoying this fabulous city; it will be a destination within the destination. From morning coffee at the on-site Starbucks to pre-show cocktails at Fins rooftop bar or nightcaps in the lobby, our inspiration is to be an escape from the every day.”

Of course, the Margaritaville spirit is all about escapism and fun. “Both are evident upon arrival in the contemporary tropical lobby atmosphere,” Campbell said. “For music fans or adventure seekers, the hotel will perform as an active player in the Music City scene with the Sirius XM Station, Radio Margaritaville, broadcasting from its new studio in the lobby. The resort-like design, well thought out amenities, and on-site attractions will amplify the Nashville experience and transport guests to the Margaritaville state of mind.”

Describing the ambiance as “casual luxury,” Campbell said, “The tropical elements of Margaritaville and the urban character of Nashville are tastefully blended into a one-of-a-kind experience that is decidedly Margaritaville, yet distinctively Nashville.”

The lobby area welcomes guests to grab a margarita or an ice-cold beer and get their Nashville adventure started, Campbell said. “Warm wood accents and the texture of brick and vintage retro influences speak to the urban Nashville setting, while sophisticated tropical furnishings and bright open spaces with artistic accents remind guests they have escaped to Margaritaville,” he added. “The urban retreat atmosphere will transport visitors to a relaxing getaway that engages the senses and takes the guestroom experience to a whole new level with the feel of an island resort and the energy of downtown Nashville. Every room and suite is finished with thoughtful amenities, like lavishly comfortable bedding and spacious spa-like baths and the technical gadgets to stay connected.”

While Campbell noted there are signature moments around every corner, a few stand out. “The rooftop will be a true oasis for relaxing in the middle of the city. Fins Bar will be a downtown beach bar where guests can hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy the incredible view. The extensive pool area with cabana-style seating will be the place to relax and recharge before the next adventure in Music City,” he said. “Having Radio Margaritaville here makes a definite statement and ties Margaritaville and Nashville together in a meaningful way.”
