American Hotel Register Company to Acquire Woleco Distribution

VERNON HILLS, IL—American Hotel Register Company has entered into an agreement to acquire Woleco Distribution from Hunter Amenities International. This acquisition does not include Woleco’s manufacturing division, which will continue to be operated by Hunter Amenities.

Headquartered in Singapore, with sales and distribution offices in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan, Woleco is a supplier of amenities in the Asia-Pacific market. Its distribution division will become a wholly owned subsidiary of American Hotel and, according to the company, its established distribution network will provide customers with streamlined supply chain management and consistent, high-quality customer care throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

This acquisition further extends the company’s supply chain, following the previous acquisition of Amsterdam-based Intros Hotel Supplies, which serves Europe, the Middle East and Africa with additional offices in Dubai (UAE) and Johannesburg, South Africa.

“The combination of American Hotel, Intros and Woleco provides us with a truly global distribution platform for our customer and manufacturing partners around the world,” said Angela Korompilas, president & CEO of American Hotel. “We have long been committed to being our customers’ most valued partner everywhere in the world, and are excited to bring our global program management, technology solutions and supply chain efficiencies to the fast-growing Asian market.”

The acquisition also provides enhanced distribution processes for Hunter’s portfolio of brands, said the company.

“Over the last few years, the hospitality industry has accelerated its expansion into the Asian and Middle Eastern markets and the growing North American chains expect their suppliers to offer consistent global services,” said Berny Amiel, CEO of Hunter Amenities International. “With American Hotel’s distribution expertise, customers in over 40 countries in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets can expect first-class service that supports their fast-changing needs and strategic goals.”
