RIVER RANCH, FL—Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo has expanded its lodging offerings with the addition of 10 Luxe Teepees, offering an all-inclusive luxury camping or “glamping” experience.
The 651-sq.-ft. Luxe Teepees provide luxury living in the outdoors, with accommodations for up to four guests. Design elements include double-sided stone rock hearth fireplace, screened private patio deck, microwave, mini refrigerator, leather chairs, a king bed, full sleeper sofa, air conditioning and heating. In addition, the teepees are clustered around 100-year-old oak trees and each one features their own private en suite bathrooms with vanity and porcelain cast iron claw bathtub and shower.
This new area, Takoda Village, features a tribal council pavilion built by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, according to the company. This pavilion showcases a palmetto thatch-roof, outdoor fire pits, swinging hammocks, festoon lighting and outdoor dining tables. Included in a stay in the Luxe Teepees is unlimited access to all onsite activities, including horseback riding, trap and skeet shooting, access to the adventure park, airboat rides and more.
The introduction of the Luxe Teepees builds upon the introduction of glamping tents at the property in 2013 and an expansion of the glamping inventory in 2014, according to the company.
“Following the incredible demand and guest feedback from our glamping tents, our guests told us they wanted an even higher-end, all-inclusive experience offering the finest in amenities, luxury and service,” said David Siegel, CEO, Westgate Resorts. “Guests of our Luxe Teepees can expect a five-star hotel experience in a camping setting.”
