CARRETERA, CUBA—Warwick Hotels and Resorts (WHR) has reopened the upgraded luxury Warwick Cayo Santa Maria Resort following an extensive maintenance program. Owned by Grupo Gaviota, the 800-room and suite resort is located on the north shore of Cuba, close to Santa Clara Airport.
The all-inclusive resort has seven restaurants and eight bars, with menus ranging from Italian to Caribbean. Amenities include a multi-purpose meeting room, wedding gazebo, fitness center and numerous sports activities, as well as live entertainment at the theater.
WHR, formerly known as Warwick International Hotels, entered into a management agreement with Grupo Gaviota, a Cuban travel company in 2015. WHR’s portfolio includes properties in The Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia/Pacific.
