SANTA MARIA KEY, CUBA—Warwick International Hotels has scheduled an Aug. 15 opening for The Warwick Cayo Santa Maria Resort, a new all-inclusive resort here, after a two-year, $125-million renovation investment by Grupo Gaviota.
The 800-room resort features 16 suites, six bars and eight restaurants including an international buffet, Caribbean restaurant, steakhouse, trattoria and snack bar. Activities include a kids club, swimming pool, two tennis courts, a basketball court and direct access to a white sand beach 1 kilometer (nearly one mile) long. Additionally, there are more than 26 hectares (260,000 sq. ft.) of gardens and views of the Caribbean Sea.
