ORLANDO—Universal Parks & Resorts and Loews Hotels & Resorts are set to build a new on-site hotel, the Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal Orlando.
The themed site, designed with a vintage feel to evoke classic American driving vacations, will feature 900 family suites with kitchen areas that can sleep six, as well as 900 standard guestrooms.
Its design, evident throughout the property—in guestrooms and public spaces alike—will be bold with dramatic, clean lines and bright period colors with touches of neon. The hotel, which will have two themed pool areas, will be operated by Loews and is set to open in 2014.
Work on the 37-acre site within Universal Orlando Resort is slated to begin soon.
