The Rittenhouse Unveils Five New Park Suites

PHILADELPHIA—The Rittenhouse has introduced five new Park Suites, designed by Alexandra Champalimaud, as part of a multi-year enhancement program.

The new suites feature expansive floor plans, treetop views of Rittenhouse Square and a design that takes inspiration from the hotel’s own style with a contemporary twist.

The Park Suites, on the hotel’s third floor, range from 450 to 1,330 sq. ft. Each suite features its own personal style and color scheme, complemented by oak wood floors and stained grey anigre millwork, wool carpets, vein-cut eramosa marble kitchens and silver travertine bathrooms for a natural palette.

Custom furnishings feature a touch of art deco style and 20th century influence. Floor-to-ceiling windows, low windowsills, silk draperies and textured wallcoverings capture Rittenhouse Square’s natural light and treetop views. “We designed the five signature spaces to celebrate the wonderful views of the Square, Champalimaud stated.

The suites also offer a living area and sitting rom, dining space and a private kitchen and bar. The master bedrooms feature a burnt oak four-poster king bed with sand Belgian linen fabric upholstery, while the en-suite baths offer a walk-in shower with Kohler massage shower, a separate silver travertine bathtub, bathrobes and Acqua di Parma Spa bath amenities.

The new Park Suites also offer custom mood lighting, complimentary in-room WiFi, a 42-in. flat-panel HDTV and custom wet bars with refrigeration and built-in microwave ovens.

The adjoining Gallery offers a private arrival experience designed just for the Park Suites, with book displays, artwork that recalls Philadelphia’s history and a color palate affected by stained grey anigre millwork, chartreuse leather chairs and soft lighting.
