HALF MOON BAY, CA—Seal Cove Inn, a Half Moon Bay hotel, has installed a Tesla destination charging station on the property. The partnership between the hotel and Tesla Motors is one of the first of many between the hotel and luxury brands, according to the company.
Currently, there are 750 Tesla destination-charging stations worldwide. Its high-power connectors can supply power at 20kW, adding up to 58 miles of range to a Model S in an hour and it can be fully charged in 4-5 hours at the station.
A 30-minute drive from San Francisco, the hotel has recently undergone an extensive refresh and is situated on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean bordered by the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. The 10-room boutique hotel offers direct beach access 500 ft. from the front door and amenities include gas fireplaces, locally-made bath products in their signature scent and the following complimentary items: gourmet breakfast daily, evening wine reception, organic coffee and tea, bottled water and soft drinks, WiFi and a Bluetooth-enabled sound system.
