NEW YORK—Sofitel Luxury Hotels has unveiled “Revealed,” a photo exhibit that features iconic modern artists.
Olivier Widmaier Picasso, grandson of Pablo Picasso and author of Picasso, Portrait In Time, curated the exhibit. He hand-selected 30 photographs from the collection of Paris Match, the French weekly magazine. The grand opening took place at the Sofitel New York.
Photographs include a black-and-white image of Pablo Picasso watching his dalmatian that wants to climb on his lap (shown); Salvador Dalí at an animal exhibit at the Paris Zoo; Jeff Koons styling a BMW for the 24 Hours of Le Mans; Pierre Soulages crouching over a work in progress; Kees Van Dongen painting Brigitte Bardot; and more.
The exhibit will be on display at the Sofitel New York for the next two months and will go to four additional cities across North America to Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square (August – October 2014), Sofitel Chicago Water Tower (November 2014 to January 2015), Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile (February – March 2015) and Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills (April to early June 2015).
