PORTLAND, OR—The Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront here has completed a renovation of its Oregon Ballroom. The ballroom’s makeover was the final piece in the 506-room hotel’s overall refresh, which included new guestrooms, an M Club Lounge and fitness center.
A new look for the 3,000-sq.-ft. ballroom foyer features two built-in registration desks, while a renovation of the 14,144 sq.-ft. Oregon Ballroom depicts a contemporary palette with functional space for meetings.
The design by Paradigm Design Group offers a nod to all things Portland through material elements such as carpeting, which illustrates a bike tire design representing the city’s love for bikes, according to the property. The bike theme is reflected elsewhere in the hotel through artwork in guestrooms; tires on the walls in the new M Club; rentals for hotel guests; and storage in select guestrooms.
Located on the banks of the Willamette River, the property offers views of Mount Hood and is within walking distance of downtown attractions. Onsite amenities at the Energy Star-certified hotel include dining venue Bistro by Truss, a 24-hour fitness center and meeting space.
