VANCOUVER—Yaletown’s Opus Hotel has unveiled the new Opus Bar. Vancouver interior designer Robert Bailey, in collaboration with design consultant Craig Stanghetta, was responsible for the new look.
Echoing the recent, colorful revamp of the hotel’s guestrooms, the new bar features touches such as neon signs urging guests to “Just Hold Me” and a focal point zebra-striped marble bar, according to the hotel.
During the day, the space operates as a coffee hangout complete with fireplace and serpentine-style royal blue banquettes. At night, it caters to a different crowd, with DJs spinning old-school hip-hop and ’90s beats Thursdays through Saturdays.
Bar manager Barry Jackson created the venue’s cocktails, while bar bites come from Chef Lucais Syme of the hotel’s restaurant La Pentola.
