HONG KONG, CHINA—Hotel Stage, an urban lifestyle boutique hotel, has opened in the historic heart of Kowloon. The property, situated in the Yau Ma Tei district, pays homage to the city’s artisans and community through its display of local artwork.
The interiors are designed as a canvas that connects with Hong Kong’s artistic community through a curated collection of art and a varied program of cultural events. The hotel’s 97 guestrooms and suites feature oversized windows to provide natural light and views of local heritage landmarks. Rooms are equipped with high-speed multimedia connectivity devices and deluxe amenities. Suites offer a separate living room with a sofa. Elsewhere, the art rooms display contemporary works from emerging local artists.
On the Club and Suite level, there’s a 24-hour Library Lounge featuring an extensive library of collectible books. Hotel Stage’s all-day-dining Italian restaurant, Kitchen Savvy, is designed with an open kitchen concept. The casual eatery combines a European-inspired menu with an Asian flair focusing on seasonal ingredients.
In addition, meeting and function facilities are available for groups up to 150 people. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer natural lighting and views of Kowloon landmarks. The rooms feature high-speed multimedia connectivity, LCD projectors, video, multi-TV systems and a range of the latest audio-visual equipment for meetings and conferences.
“Hotel Stage is a landmark and community hub with our staff serving as stage managers of our guests’ experiences. We have created a setting for local artists, performers and artisans to showcase the soul of the city,” said GM James Hung, Hotel Stage. “Here, the curious traveler can discover a deep connection with the local community and be inspired by our unique ambience of living artistry.”
