SANTA CRUZ, CA—Hotel Paradox is now a part of Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s portfolio of independent properties.
Located in the heart of Santa Cruz near Pacific Ave., Hotel Paradox recently underwent a renovation resulting in an updated arrival experience; more-open floor plan in its Solaire Restaurant + Bar; new guestroom furniture; and additional fire pits and updated cabanas surrounding its pool.
The hotel’s front desk is made from a reclaimed eucalyptus trees. Guestrooms feature natural forest elements in the decor, including wooden stump tables; reclaimed wood paneling; and river rock shower floors with rain showerheads. According to the brand, the property’s Solaire Restaurant + Bar features local and sustainable menu items from Executive Chef Ross McKee. The restaurant features an atmosphere that brings the outside in with a multi-angled ceiling adorned with backlit trees and blue sky.
