JEKYLL ISLAND, GA—The final stage of construction for the Holiday Inn Resort’s new restaurant and event space, Beach House, is underway and slated to open on July 1. The hotel’s $22-million renovation was finalized last March, and the Beach House represents the final phase of construction. Beach House will house a full-service restaurant and a 3,000-sq.-ft. event space for meetings, reunions and weddings.
F&B director Luke Kelly leads the culinary team. His first restaurant job was at the Buccaneer Beach Resort here, and then moved to Jacksonville, FL to work for a few years in corporate restaurants before returning here to lead F&B operations at the Oceanside Inn and Suites.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the revitalization of this amazing property, first with the Holiday Inn Resort opening, now with our own independent restaurant, Beach House,” said Kelly. “With its added 3,000 sq. ft. of event space, we will be the perfect spot for weddings, family reunions, company meetings and more.”
The Beach House Restaurant’s menu will offer locally sourced seafood, pizza, salads and pasta. The Tap Room at Beach House will feature 24 draft beers, including craft brews that can be paired with food selections. The venue has outdoor dining with seating areas, an outdoor fireplace, a children’s menu, a daily happy hour, live entertainment, an indoor shuffle board table and outdoor bocce ball lawn.
