LONDON—DESIGN Duncan Miller Ullmann will be the interior designer for the full-service $98-million Gansevoort Hotel at 45 Curtain Road in London. The design will be lead by principal Kimberley Miller. Gansevoort London is slated to open in 2015.
Scheduled to break ground early this year, Design DMU will strive to achieve a stylish and edgy vibe to match the vibrant social life and local street art of the up-and-coming Shoreditch district.
Because Shoreditch has proven to be an emerging neighborhood full of technology and creativity, Gansevoort London will serve as a social hub for the entrepreneurial community through inspired design and functionality. The hotel will feature 120 guestrooms, a restaurant, bi-level bar, rooftop swimming pool and lounge, private club, 24-hour fitness center and spa, over 6,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space and even a tech incubator.
“I’m always seeking to expand my portfolio in emerging neighborhoods that have a vibrant social life where businesses can grow and flourish,” stated Michael Achenbaum, founder and president of Gansevoort Hotel Group. “Shoreditch aligns brilliantly with our vision for this project and we’re thrilled to break ground during such an exciting time for the neighborhood.”
